Support for persistent stress, pain, and emotional challenges

Helping you feel calmer, steadier, and safer — in yourself and your life.

  • Trauma-informed mindful hypnotherapy and somatic regulation, delivered gently with attention to safety.

  • One-to-one support in Sidmouth, East Devon (in person or online), and online across the UK and internationally

You may feel overwhelmed, unsettled, or not quite yourself. You may experience strong emotions, ongoing or recurring illness/pain, fatigue, or other symptoms that can take over.

The support I provide is gentle and relational, combining therapeutic conversation with relaxation, imagination, and attention to bodily sensations.

This support is especially suited to people whose nervous systems have been shaped by prolonged stress, persistent pain/illness, or experiences that disrupted safety or trust.

Nothing about this means there is something wrong with you. These responses often develop as intelligent adaptations to prolonged or repeated stress and life challenges.

You might recognise yourself here if:

  • You feel emotionally unsettled, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself

  • Stress, pain, fatigue, or other symptoms have built up over time

  • Your sense of safety, confidence, or identity has been affected

  • Your experiences don’t fit neatly into one explanation or diagnosis

  • You’ve experienced emotionally disruptive events, such as boundary violation, bullying, or digital trauma

People arrive for different reasons, and experiences can overlap. What may be common is a wish to experience greater steadiness, energy, and ease in daily life.

How this approach may suit you

  • Combines approaches such as compassionate inquiry, mindful hypnotherapy, guided imagination, relaxation, and somatic regulation

  • Supports access to inner resources responding to sensations, imagination, and meaning — beyond what talking alone can reach

  • Collaborative and paced to your capacity, creating a safe, relational space

  • Supports gradual, sustainable change for both physical and emotional experiences

Beneficial change is possible

  • Feel calmer, steadier, and less reactive

  • Gently ease physical or emotional symptoms

  • Improve rest, sleep, and overall nervous system regulation

  • Rebuild confidence, self-trust, and emotional resilience

  • Develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself and your body

Working together

Sessions are collaborative and relational, shaped around what feels manageable and supportive for you. Working together can reduce symptom intensity and frequency, improve your sense of choice, and help you rebuild confidence and self-trust. It can also support a growing sense of agency to foster what is meaningful and resourcing to you.

Audio recordings and learning self-hypnosis are available as an optional offer.

Getting in touch

You don’t need to explain everything — a brief message is enough. We can arrange an initial conversation to see if working together feels supportive for you.

Heike Hollerung
Clinical Hypnotherapist & Mindfulness/Somatic Facilitator
Based in Sidmouth, East Devon, online and in-person sessions

I specialise in working with people whose lives have been shaped by prolonged stress, persistent pain, or experiences that have disrupted their sense of safety, confidence, or identity.

Much of my work sits at the meeting point of emotional distress, stress responses, and how these are held in the body and nervous system.

My approach is grounded, relational, and carefully paced. I pay close attention to choice, nervous system capacity, and emotional safety, particularly if you have felt overwhelmed, undermined, or unsafe. The approach is collaborative and flexible, shaped around your situation and what you are hoping for.

I offer one-to-one sessions online or in-person, and facilitate both online and in-person groups. My work is compassionate, practical, and trauma-informed.

How to start

We usually begin with an initial conversation, via email, text, phone or Zoom. This gives you space to ask questions, share what brings you here, and get a sense of whether my approach feels supportive for you. There is no obligation to continue.

You may decide to book a session. Sessions are 60-75 minutes, offered online or in person. The work, including the session length, can be adapted to your needs and pace. You may begin with a single session or commit to a bundle; we review the focus and progress together.

  • A single session can be a meaningful and complete experience, for example, to unburden and gain ideas and tools you can take with you.

  • Ongoing sessions can help to build on insights, ideas and tools to allow changes to settle deeply and sustainably. There is no expectation to commit beyond what feels right for you.

Session Fees

  • Single session: £50

  • Bundle of 3 sessions: £145

  • Bundle of 6 sessions: £270

Concessions: A limited number of spaces are available for those experiencing financial strain. Mention this when getting in touch, and we can explore options confidentially.

Online sessions: Held via Zoom with the same supportive experience as in-person work. A quiet, comfortable space and reliable internet connection helps you get the most from each session.

Groups and programs

I offer ongoing weekly live online groups focused on nervous system regulation, gentle movement, meditation, and embodied practices.

From time to time, I also offer specialised one-to-one or group programs over several consecutive weeks, for example, managing chronic pain with mindful hypnotherapy or recovering from digital trauma.
