Support for persistent stress, pain, and emotional challenges
helping you to feel calmer, steadier, and safer - in yourself and your life
Gentle, trauma-informed support for people affected by prolonged stress, ongoing pain, or emotionally disruptive experiences. The work is collaborative, carefully paced, and shaped around what feels manageable for you.
You might recognise yourself here if:
you feel emotionally unsettled, overwhelmed, or not quite yourself
stress, pain, fatigue, or other symptoms have built up over time
your sense of safety, confidence, or identity has been shaken
your experiences don’t fit into one explanation or diagnosis
Some people come mainly for emotional support. Others come because of physical symptoms such as ongoing or recurring pain, tension, fatigue, backache, digestive difficulties, headaches/migraines, or heightened sensitivity.
You may have a diagnosis such as fibromyalgia or chronic pain conditions, or you may have no diagnosis at all. You may experience a range of challenging emotions such as shame, frustration, powerlessness or disappointment in yourself.
What I offer
I offer gentle, relational support that draws on therapeutic mindfulness, hypnotherapy and somatic approaches. The support works with how stress and difficult experiences are held in the body, emotions, and nervous system.
This work aims to support:
greater steadiness and nervous system capacity
more choice in how you respond to symptoms, emotions, and triggers
a sense of safety and continuity over time
Where applicable, the work also supports recovery after emotionally disruptive experiences such as a loss or digital violation. This can include processing what happened, rebuilding confidence, and developing a clearer sense of personal safety and self-trust from now on.
A common need can be to feel calmer, safer, and more stable within yourself.
How this work can support you
This work may help you:
respond more calmly to stress, pain, fatigue, or emotional triggers
experience less overwhelm and reduced symptom intensity
improve rest, sleep, and nervous system regulation
rebuild confidence, self‑trust, and emotional resilience
develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with your body, and your whole self
This work does not aim to treat or cure medical conditions, or to minimise what you have been through. It focuses on how you live with and respond to your experience now.
When you get in touch, you don’t need to explain everything. A brief message via email, phone, text or contact form is enough. We can arrange an initial conversation to see whether working together feels appropriate.
about me
Heike Hollerung
Clinical Hypnotherapist & Mindfulness/Somatic Facilitator
Based in East Devon, UK
I specialise in working with people whose lives have been shaped by prolonged stress, persistent pain, or experiences that have disrupted their sense of safety, confidence, or identity.
Much of my work sits at the meeting point of emotional distress, stress responses, and how these are held in the body and nervous system.
My approach is grounded, relational, and carefully paced. I pay close attention to choice, nervous system capacity, and emotional safety, particularly if you have felt overwhelmed, undermined, or unsafe. The approach is collaborative and flexible, shaped around your situation and what you are hoping for.
I offer one-to-one sessions online or in-person, and facilitate both online and in-person groups. My work is compassionate, practical, and trauma-informed.
Working together
We usually begin with an initial conversation. This gives you space to ask questions, share what brings you here, and get a sense of whether my approach feels supportive for you. There is no obligation to continue.
Sessions
Sessions are offered one-to-one, online or in person. The work is paced carefully and adapted to your needs, capacity, and current circumstances. Some people come with a specific focus, while others are looking for ongoing support over time.
Session options
Individual sessions, booked one at a time
Small bundles of sessions, booked several weekly or fortnightly sessions in advance
Session fees
Sessions are 60 minutes and are offered one-to-one, online or in person. Where helpful, we can adapt the pace or length of sessions with care for what feels most supportive for you.
Session options
Single session: £50
Bundle of 3 sessions: £145
Bundle of 6 sessions: £270
Therapeutic work with persistent stress, pain, or emotional disruption often benefits from some continuity. Working across several sessions can allow trust to develop, support nervous system regulation, and give changes time to settle and integrate.
At the same time, there is no requirement to commit in advance. Some people prefer to begin with a single session and then decide how they would like to continue. We agree on the focus and pace together and review the work as it progresses.
Concessions
A limited number of concessionary spaces are available for people experiencing financial strain, ill health, or other circumstances that make regular payment difficult. Concessions are offered by mutual agreement and subject to availability.
If cost is a concern, you are welcome to mention this when getting in touch, and we can explore what may be possible in a clear, respectful, and confidential way.
Groups and programs
I offer ongoing weekly live online groups focused on nervous system regulation, gentle movement, meditation, and embodied practices. From time to time, I also offer specialised programs over several consecutive weeks, for example, managing chronic pain or recovering from digital trauma.
